GPPAD DATA SHARING STATEMENT
Sharing pseudonymized data (personal data processed in such a manner that the personal data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information) within the scientific community is important for scientific progress that might eventually benefit patients. The Global Platform for Prevention of Autoimmune Diabetes (GPPAD) is committed to open data sharing in compliance with all applicable European and GPPAD Consortium Member State, Data Protection and Privacy Protection laws, rules and regulations.
GPPAD makes pseudonymized data of the type 1 diabetes risk screening (GPPAD-02) available to the scientific community upon request. Data from over 150,000 individuals is currently available. An example built from synthetic data can be downloaded clicking the link below. For data request please send an email to cc@gppad.org indicating "GPPAD data sharing" in the subject. In your email please provide a short project description, a list of the required variables, IRB approval or why the project is exempt of IRB approval. If the project is approved, a Data Transfer Agreement must be signed.
The available data are:
- Sex
- FDR (First Degree Relative with type 1 diabetes)
- HLA derived from SNPs rs17426593, rs2187668 and rs7454108
- Genotyping results of the SNPs used in the calculation of the genetic risk score
Pseudonymized data of the POInT Study (GPPAD-03) will be available to the scientific community after the publication of the trial analysis, which is anticipated in spring 2026 (please visit https://clinicaltrials.gov/, Identifier Number: NCT03364868). The POInT data will be available upon request.
Pseudonymized data of the SINT1A Study (GPPAD-04) will be available to the scientific community after the publication of the trial analysis, which is anticipated in 2028 (please visit https://clinicaltrials.gov/, Identifier Number: NCT04769037). The SINT1A data will be available upon request.
